  1. UV PØP's profile including the latest music, albums, songs, music videos and more updates.
  2. U.V. PØP. UV PØP were an early 80’s post-punk group from the South Yorkshire region of England. Their sound was regionally bleak and they used staccato, angular guitars lines, with vocals ranged from spoken repeated mantras to whispered and shouted political poetics.
  3. Extensive four CD + book set exploring the punk and post-punk sound of the 'steel city'. Features classics, rarities, album tracks and 12 previously unreleased gems from The Human League, Pulp (and members thereof), Heaven 17, Thompson Twins, B. E. F., Artery, ABC, Clock DVA, Hula, The Danse Society, In The Nursery, Treebound Story and many more/5(17).
  4. Birdy originally just penned the tune for herself. "'I read the three Hunger Games books in a week and because I liked them so much I wrote 'Just a Game,'" she told The Daily pontorbnilongnisnarisiputgorinist.coinfor, when the first movie adaptation went into production, the teen age singer-songwriter's co-manager, Sara Law, sent the unsolicited composition to the film company, who loved it so much they used it over.
  5. The sound of U V PØP has always been a sophisticated blend of sadness; with morose North Country sense and a humorous confrontational sensibility. Back again with new material and a carefully polished back catalogue there is evidence still of the melancholy that gave us all hope for today and tomorrow.
  6. His “on-line” career took off too making the first four albums available as downloads – then Brooklyn based US label Sacred bones approached him and secured the right to re-release “No songs tomorrow/Just A Game” Just in time for the 30th anniversary of it’s original release and “No songs tomorrow” the album in the new year.
  7. UV PØP were from North Country UK, Sheffield to be exact. They crafted morose, jagged punk songs about the political climate of their country at the time. This single was originally released in on the legendary PAX Records in an edition of individually designed silk-screened covers.
